This was one of those AOR albums from the early '80s only released in Japan. Criminal, because this is a true jewel.
BROCK WALSH is a talented songwriter with a perfect voice, and this "Dateline Tokio" is plenty of sticky choruses and inspired hooks. Just listen 'PAPER DOLL' ... awesome tune.
I love this disc, marvelous, simple and effective. Perfectly written and produced, with some dream-like musicians playing, who by themselves do not only bring 'big names' to the credits, they really print his interpretative quality
through the album. Some tracks were penned by Walsh with monsters Glen Ballard and Martin Briley.

Christian bands have developed an interesting performance
since the middle of the 80's, launching radiable and
commercial discs, with very good artistic production.
ILLUSTRATOR, Gaube's bros. group, was one of them.
Their debut, achieved a considerable success in CCM circles
and mainstream radio.
Although the next album; 'Somewhere In The World' is much
more accomplished in my opinion, this ST contains good
tracks with good melodies, nice harmonies and a very cool feeling.
Interesting... and pretty rare.
